reminds Descendants, in his "Who Are You," speech that who we are, is a false identity, behaviors, & attitudes given to us via chattel-slavery & white paternalism. As emancipated people, we must reclaim our Africanness, by way of; name, language, culture & materials. In essence, we must understand who we were before #AmericanSlavery
, as a means of mental liberation from #whitesupremacy
. While, we are physically out of bondage our mental bondage persists, as we are 153 years removed from slavery. However, we must reclaim our Africanness, as a survival technique, to become better people, & to throw off our false identity that keeps us from progressing in socio-political ways thru the 21st century.
