The face make when it’s Friday and you still got a lot of work to do.
Start of the weekend, but before the weekend can start there is still another day of work. For me, Friday can either be an easy day or a long ass hard day. Just depends on the work load during the week and how much work I’ve done during the week. This week I’ve done more than enough work but today is still gonna be a long day 😩 5pm-5:30pm can’t come soon enough (even tho I finish before that).

Today (Friday, March 23, two thousand and eighteen), I visited Na'eim Suleiman's grave in Shahrestanbolu. In my absence, I was buried in a corner in a very strange way without names. Without stone grip or address. Interestingly, the magnificent cemetery of Adrienne Qapu, Istanbul, had a very beautiful grave next to it, but the grave of the deceased lacked any gemstone or stone. With two boards and a piece of paper with a grave-bearing character, the grave range is clear. The cemetery worker said nobody, and only once had his friend come from Bulgaria to the grave's head. I was also surprised to come. It has been abandoned very nonsensically. It is true that for many years he was the national hero of Turkey, and even the Turkish president (late Arbakan) called him his son.

امروز دوم نوروز نودوهفت در شهر استانبول از مزار نعیم سلیمان اوغلو وزنه بردار اعجوبه و قهرمان سه دوره المپیک و هفت دوره مسابقات جهانی که امسال در سن پنجاه ویک سالگی دراثربیماری کبدوکلیه درگذشت دیدار کردم.قهرمان سبک وزنی که وذرشکار بی مانند تاریخ وزنه برداری جهان بود و رکوردهای بینظیری داشت.متاسفانه بر خلاف انتظارم در یک گوشه از گورستان مجلل و زیبای ادرنه قاپو بصورت غریبانه ای و بدون نام ونشان و سنگ مزاری دفن شده است.جالب اینکه قبور بسیار زیبایی در اطذافش وجود دارد ولی مزار قهرمان ملی ترکیه با دو تخته و یک مقوا که با ماژیک مشخصات متوفی روی آن درج شده و یک نشان که عکس کوچکی از نعیم داشت محدوده قبر مشخص شده است.کارگر گورستان میگفت هیچکس را ندارد و فقط یکبار دوستش از بلغارستان بر سر مزارش آمده است.از حضور من هم بسیار متعجب شده بود.عجبا که سالها قهرمان ملی ترکیه بود و حتی مرحوم نجم الدین اربکان اورا پسر خود خطاب میکرد ولی خیلی غریبانه به حال خود رها شده است.شاید اگر این بی اهمیتی را پیش بینی میکرد زیر آنهمه فشار نمیرفت تا به این زودی جایش در دنیای وزنه برداری خالی نباشد.بسیار متاثر شدم.

Otestoval jsem rameno po týdnu kompenzací. Předtím v soutěžní fázi nešlo úplně vysadit benč a jenom kompenzovat. Zatím teda na lehké váze 142,5kg x 5x5. Poprvé po několika měsících je to úplně bez bolesti. A je to teda úplně super pocit, když ani brzdění ani tlak nebolí a jenom si užíváš pohybu. Vypadá to že nic nebylo poškozené. Základní předpoklad pro konečné prolomení 200kg. Původně jsem to chtěl už v Helsinborgu, ale ještě to bolelo. Zbývá 7,5 kilo.

My underhand side lat isn't pulling the bar hard enough towards me so I had some windmill action going on in the first set. Athough technique isn't a big issue right now, I can definitely foresee a low rep high set setup for my deadlift 🤔

joined us back in April 2017, his biggest goal was to deadlift 300kg. He wanted nothing more and we promised to get him there!
In just shy of 1 year. He's gone from learning foundations, deadlifting 160kg as his 1rm to 200kg 1rm, then from 200kg to 252.5kg and from 252.5kg to 285kg..and finally a 300kg dead on his debut comp!! His overall progress went a little something like this since April 2017.
130kg squat to 245kg at comp with maybe another 5kg in the tank.
70kg bench to 120kg bench with more in the tank at comp.
160kg deadlift to 300kg at comp.
That's a total increase of 305kg in a year. His progress has been absolutely mental.
This was definitely one of my favorites moments of last weekend. All his hard work, consistency and efforts have paid off and his celebration post lift says it all.
One of the biggest joys of coaching are being there for moments like these.

11 weeks ago I started with @strongfastfit
and pulled a PB of 240kg. My plan today was to pull 245kg for a double, but warmups were feeling so damn fast I knew I had plenty more. 240 and 250 both flew, so 260 it is 😲😲 good to see tech breakdowns as I need to work on getting my hips through a bit more, but one very happy little bald boy today 🖐

Tightening up and finding the “sweet spot”
Finding the perfect start position in the deadlift can be a challenge. There are many cues that can be applied to develop tightness and encourage efficient movement. Tying it all together is the real 🔑
What has worked really well for max is learning to lock everything in whilst creating intra-abdominal pressure at the same time. In the example shown, you’ll see him start over the bar.... as he shifts his weight back, a breath is taken in, the lats are squeezed tight and the hips open up slightly. As he shifts back and everything tightens up he will initiate the movement through his feet, taking the slack out of the bar and maintaining position throughout.
Try not to mess around too much getting into position, once you feel everything come together and you feel tight... GO!!
Hips ideally want to be below shoulder level, however they don’t want to drop so low that you lose tightness. Something to play with.

I have no idea how this is happening... 152.5kg single (PB) flew, so took 157.5kg which moved pretty bloody well too, and is 15kg more than my best competition bench. Maybe I should get injured and train bench only more often?? 😂
