Are you living by the 'hell yes' rule? Okay, maybe I need to elaborate a bit more. Let's rewind a month or two. I was sitting in my office with a mentor of mine and he said 'Tena, you are a talented gal (he went on and on here, but I won't bore you with the details. ha). You are going to get SO many opportunities thrown at you, really great opportunities. You can't just use the filter of saying yes to things only if they are a yes - they need to be a HELL YES!' So, I used to give really quick answers when people asked me whether or not I could do something or wanted to do something. It was easy because I know what I like, but the trouble is... I like a lot of things. Anyone with me on this? Here is the deal though, if we don't have a clear vision of our personal and professional goals, we are going to say yes WAY too many times. #beentheredonethat
As I sit and reflect this weekend with very little on my 'hell yes' plate, it is pretty darn awesome.
Yesterday I had the privilege of being a guest speaker at a retreat for a group of gals rockin' their @le_velofficial
business. Women on a mission to change the world, one beautiful and tired mama at a time. These women said yes to entrepreneurship AND they said yes to taking a weekend away in the middle of the summer. There is no doubt in my mind that although both of these decisions can be a bit out of the norm - these ladies are happy they said 'Hell Yes' to both.
I accepted the invite to speak because I knew I would be surrounded by amazing women, powerhouse women that were committed to rock their goals and that sort of commitment is contagious.
What do you need to say 'Hell Yes' to? Or maybe even more importantly... Hell no.
