On a real note though, I got a killer workout in even if it was a bit shorter bc I’ve been MIA for a week. . ARMS (repeat 3x): 1. Push ups 15x 2. Dumbbell press 12x 3. Overhead press 12x . HIIT (repeat 3x): 1. Toe taps 60x 2. Side to side box jumps 40x 3. Knees to chest plank jumps 20x . Even though it was definitely tough, it felt amazingggg to get back in the swing of things. I almost didn't work out today. . I almost went to the store and bought a bottle of rose to drink while I finished watching the 2nd season of the arrangement (lol my guilty pleasure show). . I almost went to bed without working out. I almost went to sleep without doing the single most important thing I can do for myself, why? . Because I had a "hard day". My toddler came down with a low grade fever (explains his fussiness) and has been a pain in my YOUKNOWWHAT all day. He didn't nap at all. He threw himself on the floor screaming and crying in his class today instead of participating. He didn't want to eat anything except Popsicles, hot dogs, and French fries. Oh and ketchup. To top that off my house is a mess (as usual) and since there are no naps currently in my house, laundry is everywhere, the floors are dirty, dishes in the sink, dogs need baths, there's crap everywhere and it's hard for me to focus on doing my workout. . But you know what I did? I #5secondrule 'd myself out of drinking that beer I bought, I poured the one I had just opened down the sink, and then I 5 second rule' d myself right into my workout. And I finished. And it felt good to sweat out all my anxiety and frustrations from the day. And yes I ignored the dog hair on the floor and the dirt on the wall and the dishes in the sink so that I could get my workout done and get some work time in before I get to sleep. . And you know what? You are worth it too. . If you're like i was 6 months ago, unmotivated, lacking purpose (other than being a mom and wife), stacking on the pounds from having too many indulgences and feeling terrible about it.. You. Are. Worth. It! Fill your cup every day because how else can you pour into anyone else if yours is not full?! ❤️❤️❤️
