: Take the stairs
Forget the escalator - use the stairs to get a quick and simple workout. If you do it everyday you will doing your heart a favor. Little decisions like this will make you a much healthier person.

Today's menu: •Box squats (for people with knee problems NO EXCUSES): 4 sets - 30, 15, 10, 8
•Walking lungues with DB: 4 sets- 10-12 reps (each leg) •Leg presses (wide and far apart): 4 sets - 20, 20, 15, to fail
•Romanian dead lifts with dumbbells: 4 sets: 20, 20, failure, failure (Not in the videos) •Single leg hamstring curls (each leg): 3 sets- 20, 20, failure
•Adduction machine: 3 sets- 20, 20, failure

If you’ve been around fitness or a gym for awhile you might have heard someone mention the main lifts before.
The main lifts are considered to be the best lifts for building muscle in size because they are multi joint and multi muscle movements.
Increasing the weight in each of these lifts with some assistance work after to make your physique overall aesthetic is the fastest way to reach your goals.
I start every workout performing two of these movements. Lower days I do squats and deadlifts and upper days I do bench and press.
You’ll be better off in the long run working with someone or educating yourself on a solid program to develop these lifts and proper form. I’d recommend either starting strength or strong lifts 5x5 or even 5/3/1 but that progression is very slow for a beginner.

💡A common question we get all the time! How much you sweat during a workout is not always a good indicator of how good/intense the workout was. Sweating is just a response your body does to cool you down
⛱Everybody will sweat when asked to do 1000 burpees, but it’s not really the best workout if you have goals to look lean and built. So don’t “sweat” it if your workouts aren’t causing you to sweat 😜Stay consistent and the results will come🏆

PSA for all fellow gym rats: you are going to perspire at the gym, that’s the point, but be courteous of others and wear deodorant, a strong anti-perspiration, something! I had to give up my bench because a foul smelling dude decided to bring his funk over next to me. I’ll try again after he leaves...

I tired of being overweight, I lift to strengthen my body so that a may carry my gear. I do cardio so can have the endurance to move through any terrain. I would like to to be able to carry 80lbs of gear not 80lbs of excess weight.
