posted about this a few days ago and for everyone who is tatted or thinking of getting tatted and worried about their chances of landing a job, advancing in their place of work or just feeling comfortable and accepted in healthcare this is for you.
Tattoos are a thing in this generation, they are so common so why are hospitals so against them? The thing is they aren’t. It really just depends on where you work at, the nature of your tattoos and locations of them. Typical my advice is 1) no face or neck tattoos, no portraits of people, and nothing offensive aka language, dirty, illegal, nasty content. As you all can see, I am tatted EVERYWHERE. For the most part, my patients and co workers call me the cool nurse 🙋🏻♂️😎, even my older patients, every now and then, VERY seldom I get negative feedback, but that’s with anything.
I’ve been a successful nurse in the CVICU for 6 years and am fixing to go to CRNA school so you tell me? Is it limiting ? 🤷🏻♂️💯🔥

I’m here for a good time on vacation but also tryna be healthy, ya know??
So here are my tips on how to stay on track but still have a good time!! .
1️⃣ PACK FOODS- pack your everyday essentials that you don’t have to refrigerate like oatmeal, rice cakes, jerky, PB, etc.
2️⃣ GO TO THE GROCERY WHEN YOU GET HERE! - buy some essentials you need that you eat on a regular basis!
3️⃣ KEEP IT SIMPLE - if you are like me, you eat the same things ever day.. so why make vacation different!? Stick to the same meals for breakfast and lunch and then try new foods for dinner!
4️⃣ MAKE HEALTHIER OPTIONS - for example my family is having a taco night for dinner, make a healthier version of a taco!
5️⃣ EAT LIGHTER DURING THE DAY! Keep it simple during the day and eat lighter meals Incase you go out for dinner!
6️⃣ NEVER GO OUT TO EAR STARVING! If you do this you’ll set yourself up for possibly binge eat all the greasy/high fat foods!
7️⃣USE THE 3 BITE RULE! If you go out to eat, get a lighter option that will make you feel good and allow yourself to take 3 bites of someone else’s “fun foods”! (Thank @suegainz
8️⃣HYDRATE! Whether it’s water or water mixed with vodka 😂 drink your water!! (But remember calories add up with alcohol!)
9️⃣ STAY ACTIVE! Walk on the beach or get a quick HIIT circuit in!
1️⃣0️⃣MEMORIES OVER MACROS! You’re on vacation! Enjoy time with your family and stop focusing on food! Don’t eat like an asshole, but if you do... THATS OKAY, ENJOY IT and don’t feel guilty!
Whatever you are going through in life, fight through it. There will be good days and there will be bad days. Don't give up.

Day 15. Check in day...Sunday Funday and Safety day..hence the booty shorts. Check in values on point, lost some weight, gained some muscle (booty 🍑 💪🏻) and loss some fat. Really noticing the changes in my body and starting to have more definition in legs, my cellulite is almost completely gone, booty gains and all tight shorts are now loose. All smiles today and ecstatic I am on point 9 days before a big event, 1 1/2 months before my deadline and that I accomplished this is more flexible dieting and consistent training and cardio.
