I felt completely smashed after my PT sesh this morning 💪🏼😴 nothing was left in the tank after the hr long training session that involved weights, core and some little cardio heart raisers thrown in the mix 🏋🏻♀️ Who would have thought at the beginning of this 6 week challenge that I’d survive doing 12kg dumbbell chest press or 150 push up pyramids 😱😱 I can really notice the improvement in my strength and stamina now ... so glad I signed up, wish it was longer cause I feel like I’m just getting into the swing of it 💪🏼 I’ll definitely keep going to functional training as I love the team vibe and man does it chew through the calories 👏 I’ll definitely keep up my once a week PT sesh as I have learnt so much from my trainer Bec and can now feel my muscle groups working because I’m actually using correct technique plus there’s no room for slacking off in a PT sesh with your trainer right there 😆 So proud of my team Blue Steel we have killed this challenge collecting over 200 tokens between the five of us 😃👏 #teambluesteel #6weekchallenge #functionaltraining #fitnessjourney #ptseshsmashed #passtheprotein #gotmymojoback

I'm gonna start my cut tomm. I didn't want to, but I'm gonna have a physical test coming up related to my career. It requires a lot of endurance, which I don't have rn. So I'm gonna work on that & cut back down to about 10%bf. I was 150 in this pic. Hopefully this time I can end the cut at 160.

Anyways, I was remembering how I got into working out and thinking about how usually when people start their fitness journies their main goal is to get all skinny and lose a ton of weight. Maybe for a wedding, maybe it's your post break up bod, am I right?😂🤷

Like you kinda start out trying to look good to other people, but somewhere along the way you somehow find this whole other side of yourself that ends up not caring what other people think. You start REALLY loving yourself and set the standard for how others should love you too. You find this confidence and courage to do things, regardless of other's negative opinions or doubts. You find out what's REALLY inside of you and you know you really can do whatever it is you put your mind to. I was just thinkin, ya know 😉 G'niiiight

Back has always been one of my weak points, which is why I train it extra hard with super sets, drop sets, and TUT (as shown here.) If you just mindlessly move the weight without any sort of mind-to-muscle connection you're going to see little to no progress whatsoever.
Currently sitting at around 140, goal is to get down to 132 💪🏽

I took this no-run-day as an opportunity to kick my cycling up a notch and go for 25+ miles. It turned out quite well, having a metaphoric life experience while biking through a storm(keep going when things get tough), ending up back in the sunny, blue skies(things will always get better), snagging 10 PRs and 1 of those making it to 6th on a specific segment for the year, 9th all time. Hard work pays off. Always push through those storms, success and blue skies are right around the corner!!

I've never done a transformation post but since I took my very last college exam yesterday, I reflected on the past 4 years and realized how much has changed. The photo on the left was me end of 2014. I had lost a lot of weight due to a gastritis, I didn't feel comfortable in my skin and was overall very insecure. The right photo was taken last night. Even though I'm far from where I want to be, I've not only changed and grown physically but also mentally, which is even more important. Sometimes we forget to acknowledge how FAR we've truly come. Progress takes time and a lot of patience and we should be proud of the person we have become. Strive to be the best version of yourself every single day and never compare your journey to someone else's and everything else will fall into place. Happy Tuesday!! ♡
