There's reportedly a "chance" David Johnson holds-out during training camp in search for a new contract. Johnson already held out during the teams mandatory minicamp.
Listen, It's good to see that Johnson wants to be here long term.
But he hasn't really proved his full worth yet.
I understand that when Johnson is healthy there may not be any better running back in the league.
Unfortunately with Johnson, the reason I'm hesitate is because of health.
Once you give a guy a big contract, and they can't stay healthy, it can hurt your team in the long run.
Johnson broke his wrist last season and was sidelined the whole year, during the 2016 season Johnson dislocated his finger, luckily his missed zero games but later sprained his MCL in week 17.
Although the week 17 MCL sprain happened the last game of the season, it could've sidelined him some games if it occurred earlier in the year.
Whatever the Cardinals decide to do, I'll stand by them.
Johnson is a great player that I want on this team, but I feel as though now isn't the greatest time to give him a monster deal.
This could get ugly, let's hope not though.
