Jimmy at relaxing at his Pangbourne home , circa February 1970. Check out the trousers and shoes.
Page bought this boathouse alongside the River Thames on the outskirts of London in 1967 Berkshire .Jimmy invited Robert Plant to visit him in the summer of 1968 when Robert was being courted for Zeppelin's line up.
Robert said in 2005 when arrived at the boathouse , he " knocked on the door and the door opened and this girl who was part of Dr.John's Night-Trippers backing group was dressed in a net curtain...my suitcase fell out of my hand ". They spent their time chatting about music and Robert pulled out a few records to play by Joan Baez, Howlin Wolf , Muddy Walters, Incredible String Band and Fairport Convention..a favourable omen as Jimmy had intended to play exactly the same records ! .
Jimmy kept a motor-boat moored at the property(fitted with a stero tape deck) where he indulged his taste for art nouveau inside , including valuable paintings,a collection of model trains , books , a Mutoscope and a vintage hand-cranked vintage peepshow.
