session today even in my new @mbslingshot
Super Training shirt, but at least bench felt good. Squat is feeling really de-trained since the meet which made hitting 315 for sets of 8 harder than they should have been. Bench was solid for 225x5x5 with a wider grip than my usual comp grip.
(Body weight a super light 180lbs) 590lbs x 2. First rep went raw but its too hot my hands were sweaty.
Cant wait to start training and having a coach. I feel big things coming come February meet at 181. Plan on big things before i even hit the age 27.
520lbs triple RPE 7, hook grip cause the thumbs were feeling good. #7weeks
Practice makes PERMANENT.
The transition from ECCENTRIC-CONCENTRIC “AMORTIZATION” so important in our sport.
Must be that DYNAMIC GLUTE WARM-UP 👀🤷🏻♂️

||6 days out... ohhh man~||
Tbh I don’t really expect anything great coming out this meet cause this prep by far the worst, but we’ll see in 6 days ✌🏻

When I signed up for this meet, I had absolutely no idea if my hip could hold up. Went 2/2 on deads and waived my third attempt, finished 54lbs off my best pull but that’s the name of the game. To put my hip in perspective, I have great days and awful days. A month ago I tripled 475 off a deficit. Two weeks ago I failed 485 off the floor, and still opened with it😂😂. Only pulled my second to qualify me for SD Fit Expo in October. Time to get healthy. #powerlifting #uspa #uspapower #181boiz #deadlift #stronghouseproject #blueprintonline @blueprintonline @stronghouseproject
Floor press for 225x4x8 and 315x6x3 for some sumo pulls last night. I’ve struggled to find a strong foot position for sumo, but I was inspired by @t_atwood
to try a more narrow stance. Although I didn’t really bump the weight up, I felt like I was getting into a groove. Maybe I’ll stick with it 🤷🏼♂️
Been semi-MIA from social media since the meet. Mostly because I took a week off from training and this week has just been goofing around with different bars, grips on bench, and stance on deadlift. Not the standard training stuff, but here’s a bit of tonight’s #skwaat
workout. First time using a SSB to squat, did 245x5x8 followed by close grip bench and some belt squats to finish. Gonna stick with the high rep ranges for the next week before I head off to vacation 🍹🌴
Tendinitis is a real pain in the ass. Trying to remind myself that this happens every time I switch back to comp style (low bar) squatting. Bench moved okay given the circumstances, 255lbs for 5’s @ RPE8.
