Currently my favourite bodyweight exercise 🔥They are a fundamental movement within calisthenics that took me a long time to get down. I am now trying to make them cleaner and more explosive!
The move consists of three elements:
- an explosive pull up
- the transition
- a straight bar dip
There's lots of great advice online with regards to how to progress with them. What helped me was practicing pull ups and dips as explosively as possible as well as using resistance bands to help with the transition... 👉 What I would stress more importantly is not getting frustrated with training them! 👈
As simple as it sounds, keep going with the basics and consistently practice them!
The harder moves within calisthenics do take lots of time and practice to acquire but the rewards really are 100% worth the effort 👊
