YOU!!!! yes U 😏
So its Friday night & as i'm driving up the road from my estate, my mind drifts to a friend from church who i'm sure is going to ring me to ask why i didn't attend vigil.
Playfully my mind goes over the best reply to her & just as i made a U-Turn, this thought hit me.... "Its not necessarily about what I get from attending service BUT more about what others gain from me by just being there😲" Like how could i even miss it all this while🙈🙈🙈...to think the countless opportunities to SHARE with that 1 person who only gets to see me when i do attend service😔😔😔
You see, church attendance has been a HUGE struggle for me period😬
Over the years i've found i do much better with those small, intimate settings so i'd much rather attend a midweek/seminar service vs a sunday service. My very valid but lame excuse' - so i never lost much sleep over missing sunday service until NOW - this year when my attendance has almost dwindled to near zero😥
Because i'm aware of the hazards i personally CANNOT afford to face, I've found myself prepping & revving my mind each wkend so i'm rested & 'in sync' ready to get to church on sunday😅 #whateverittakes
Hence why my mind drifted to this friend from church who has been so kind & patient with these 'reminders'.
Hmmmn 😥 Well i'm thankful for this brief prompting. Whats next is up to my next steps.... However i've shared this 'cos i'm sure these random flashes we get are never just for us & about us 🙇

*Oakland California Temple* “‘I met a stranger in the night, whose lamp had ceased to shine;
I paused and let him light his lamp from mine.
A tempest sprang up later on, and shook the world about,
And when the wind was gone, my lamp was out.
But back came to me the stranger—his lamp was glowing fine;
He held the precious flame and lighted mine.’
Perhaps the moral of this poem is simply that if you want to give a light to others, you have to glow yourself.” — Thomas S. Monson
