My dinner last night was so good! I haven't had one of these delicious salads in a while. It's more labor intensive than I normally like on a week night, but well worth it. Taco Salad with sweet potato chips topped with Mango-Jalapeno Salsa. I made my own taco seasoning using the recipe from @livewhole365 (lifeinthegreenhouse.com). Isso não é verdade. Colesterol não é doença e a maior prova disso é que o fígado é capaz de produzí-lo. Por que um dos órgãos mais importantes do corpo produziria uma substância se ela fosse prejudicial a saúde do organismo? 🤷🏻‍♀️😉 ⠀ ⠀ Grande parte do valor de colesterol total que você encontra no seu lipidograma é resultado da produção hepática de colesterol a partir de carboidratos. Apenas uma pequena quantidade vem do colesterol exógeno, ou seja, aquele obtido por meio da alimentação. ⠀ ⠀ Sendo assim, não são os ovos com manteiga que elevam o seu colesterol, já o pão francês e o cafezinho adoçado com açúcar sabem exatamente como fazer isso. ⠀ E mesmo que seu colesterol esteja "alto" não se desespere para diminuí-lo. ⠀ ⠀ Primeiramente porque níveis elevados de colesterol não aumentam o risco cardiovascular (isso é um mito que surgiu a partir de estudos mal conduzidos, falta de ética científica e influência política para modificar diretrizes nutricionais... longa história!) e em segundo lugar porque o que realmente importa é a relação entre as frações de colesterol e os valores de triglicerídeos (cujo controle está intimamente ligado a uma dieta Low Carb) e não o valor de colesterol total ou de suas frações isoladamente. ⠀ ⠀ Faça as contas: o ideal é que a relação entre colesterol e HDL esteja inferior a 4,5, a relação entre triglicerídeos e HDL deve ser menor que 2 e os resultados serão ótimos quando o HDL estiver acima de 40.

Week 8 | Whole Roasted Cauliflower with Almonds and Dukkah - this is a #paleopete recipe, not sure which book as Pete took a photo of the recipe at a friend's house. We don't really buy into the paleo way of thinking around here! This recipe had all the paleo/woo hallmarks though: ❌ animal fat ❌ bone broth ❌ activated almonds (seriously?) ❌ kale So we made a few adjustments to make it vego/normal. All jokes aside, this was actually delicious and we'll definitely make it again, so thanks for the recipe @chefpeteevans
