3 months ago my mobility was so limited I could barely sit cross-cross applesauce. I could barely sit at my desk all day without tightening up and I, honestly, thought running was over. But with time, patience, lots of stretching - both dynamic and static, and some yoga it is slowly getting better. I can keep my hips loose enough to run without problems and usually tightest on Monday's after 3 days straight of running...and still know where near as bad as it once was. With time and patience, I am slowly and steadily getting my overall health back while still being able to do the things I love. This is the crown jewel of the marathon world. I've done 3 of these marathons. Just need to do London, Berlin, Tokyo. Few of the many things I love about running - it's helped me broaden my horizons, accomplish more mentally and physically than I ever couldve imagined, and travel to places I probably wouldn't have If it wasn't for these races. 🌎less than 1000 people in the whole entire world have been able to pull this feat off, and I'm well on my way. First training run done!! I'm using Hal Higdon's Boston bound training plan. The first long run on the schedule called for an hour and 20 minute run with the last 1/4 faster than the first 3/4. This is to help condition for a fast finish in race day. Every other week's long run is by time instead of miles. So today I ran 6.968 in 60 minutes (8:35 pace) and 2.532 in 20 minutes(7:55 pace). I had planned on running outside with a friend, but my Lil'Bit is home with a fever so I ran on the treadmill. Good thing about that is I can run faster on the mill than I can outside with all the snow. 😉

✨Injury Post✨. This is my sinc at 2pm. I can't remember the last time I was on the couch.
Yesterday, while holding onto my youngest trying to ice skate...he lost his balance and did everything to break his fall. I crushed my knees.. the right the worse-(much better today) and destroyed my right shoulder! Yes.. in the hospital for 3 hrs. I was hoping for a clean dislocation and fixed and I'd be on my way. Nope! No break, no dislocation!
I'm praying I heal faster than normal, no surgery, but I won't know anything for about a week.
I'm so mad, sad. The pain is worse than child birth! I'm not kidding!! That scares me.. that my shoulder is bad.
I rested today... unheard of for me. 2 mile-run/walk because the doggie had to go!
I can't work because I'm a PT assistant and I can't lift, pull, push!
is 2/26!! My mind is spinning.
Today.. I'm planning, thinking and trying to figure out "what next!?" Anyways.. stay tuned.
