"The hills will make you stronger." Correction, the hills HAVE made me stronger. And today they kicked my ass! First "strength" workout done! ✅ Holy wow!!! Just leave me for the birds!! I didn't quite hit my goal, but I ran with everything I had!! And now I'm going to collapse! -- W10D2 ---> #bostonmarathontraining 6 x 1 mile repeats w/ 400 recovery. My goal was 7:20 and welllllll, like I said...the hills 😐 (7:18, 7:19, 7:21, 7:25, 8:10 (I thought the hill won), 7:18). I've been having to seriously dig deep for my runs lately. I'm not sure what kind of funk I'm in, but I'm sure in one pretty bad.🙁 Hopefully I can get out of it soon, because my long runs are only getting longer and my weekly mileage is only getting higher.💜 . . //Easy 5 miles- 9:01 pace during nap time//
When should you take 3FU3L or 3CARB? Below are some general recommendations, but make sure you test and retest before an important competition or race. ✔️ For longer efforts, having roughly 30-40 grams of carbs still allows you to burn fat reserves. Based on that, try half a serving of 3FU3L + 1 serving of 3CARB. ✔️ If you're looking to increase protein intake, then flip the amounts (1 full serving of 3F + 1/2 serving of 3C). ✔️ Take 3CARB with 1/4 teaspoon of Himalayan sea salt + 22 ounces of water before bed or as soon as you wake (one or the other). It should support your overall hydration. Again -- these are just suggestions, and are a good place to start with your personal experiments. Let us know how it goes for you. The weather today was not really working with me so I had to take it to this #treadmill . Would you believe this is my first time ever running on one? It really is!!! It's always so awesome when you set out to do a set number of miles and feel so good that you add another! Today I was so exhausted from being up most of the night with a sick kiddo that when my husband came home from the gym this morning, I ended up snoozing for two hours. Thank goodness for catnaps, because even though I was dragging a$$, I still forced myself to run and am thankful I did! Sometimes mind over matter is tough but works!
