The IG Farben headquarters (Frankfurt) was the biggest office building in Europe from the time of its construction in the 1930s until the decade of 1970. After the defeat of Nazi Germany in WWII the company -that produced the Zyklon B gas and exploited enslaved prisoners in Auschwitz, was divided and gave birth to modern companies such as BASF, Agfa and Bayer. Its headquarters was used by the US American troops as headquarters, and later transferred to the city of Frankfurt. Nowadays it is part of the Westend Campus of the Goethe University. #frankfurt #germany #visitfrankfurt #igfarben #topographyoftheshoah #shoah #frankfurtuni #architecture
