Newest rescued foster babies. I was contacted by @bestfriendsanimalsociety
and one of their very generous donors to pay a "ransom" for the rescue of the two Senegal parrots. The hen has a broken wing, and the shit head breeder refused to take her to the vet. While there, I met Paco, the Maximilian Pionus, who was so depressed he was self mutilating, and had bitten off his own toes. He is also breathing weird, and needs vet care too. The breeder just treated them like money-making objects, and I hate to think what he would have done if these birds hadn't escaped his "care." The donor paid their ransom, and has arranged for veterinary care with Parrish Creek Veterinary Clinic until they make their way to the sanctuary in Kanab. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to help out these poor babies.
Please always adopt, and never buy from breeders. Not all breeders are bad, but they still contribute to the overwhelming epidemic of homeless companion animals. By adopting, you lessen the demand for breeders, and ensure fewer situations like this. #adoptdontshop
