This is my amazing little sis. We are six years apart so growing up we always seemed at different stages of life but once we hit our 20's, time merged and life aligned again. She has just moved back from interstate and her and Cal are about to welcome their little man in a few weeks. Having both my sisters around the corner is so special and to be entering a new season all as mummas together, well nothing beats that! 💕 #sisters @carmadillo @tylarrose
I'm quickly learning about this 'special needs' world and everything it entails. Willow had physiotherapy and occupational therapy this morning and to help her further they decided she needs something called a 'B' chair. The therapists now have to put a compile a case to submit to the 'chair panel' (yes, a chair panel!) to see if Willow qualifies for the chair and to be convinced to spend an extortionate amount of money on it, £3000 to be precise 😳😳 Raising a 'special need' child is hard enough without having to convince a panel a piece of equipment will help improve her life. Feels a bit like is she 'disabled' enough?! If not, oh well she can struggle for longer. But I also understand trusts cannot afford to help every child, £3000 for one chair is ridic! The lack of funding for these children is alarming 💔
Anyway, Willow did well this morning and her physiotherapist was really impressed, so much so she took the target sheet back to the office to make the exercises harder 💪🏼 #rantingonthegram #shouldprobablywriteajournal #fundingsucksballs #specialneedschild #physiotherapy #occupationaltherapy #hyperinsulinism #kabukiwarrior #kabukisyndrome #willowcrowther #parentingtheshitoutoflife #motherhoodthroughig #candidchildhood
After losing our pregnancy before Iris I find comfort in little white feathers, like someone is looking out for us. The other day when Iris was having pictures taken this little white feather fell near to where she was sat and there was no bird in sight. It was such a nice feeling to see her being curious around this little feather!
Imagine, this little human is beating me at bowling 😬😢
259/365 - I'm not quite sure how Nikki ended up supervising 4 out of the 6 kids from our combined families but I'm definitely grateful!
