Hearing the 💔news today about the tragic event at @thebpmfestival
brought back memories of @tomorrowland
last July. 2 days before the festival there was a bomb scare in Brussels, therefore the city was bombarded with military and police at every corner. Thankfully Tomorrowland didn't let it ruin the agenda, and continued with the opening party at the royal palace in the middle of the city, which ironically also happens to be the United Nations headquarters. In my 8 years of being in this scene, I had never associated fear with dance music until that day. I had major anxiety walking into the festival on the first day, but it soon dissipated once I was able to let the collective energy, love and good vibes course through my body, mind and soul. It was a definitive lesson in love > fear. That same lesson is one the dance music community needs to remember now more than ever. Things will happen, but we gotta just keep dancing and loving each other. 💜💃🏻🕺🏻🎶🙏🏻✨🤗
P.S. Don't mind my awkward hand pose and that I'm fail at posing the flag correctly...lol.
